Living for Two
When women become pregnant, many believe that they are now "eating for two," meaning that they can have twice as many of their favorite treats. In actuality, women are really "living for two" - their health now matters for two bodies, not just one. What they eat, their levels of physical activity, and how they care for their bodies are even more important as they transition from living for one to Living for Two. Detroit Public Television created a series of public service announcements that demonstrate how women should be thinking about their health and caring for two bodies during pregnancy. As the campaign fully launches, resources, information, and the PSAs will be available here, so please check back!
Living for Two is a project of Detroit Public Television, funded by the Michigan Department of Community Health, in collaboration with Dr. Michelle Moniz, MD, MSc, obstetrician and gynecologist at the University of Michigan and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow.
