The Music of Northern Ireland With Eamonn McCrystal

Shot with a live audience in the historic and stunningly opulent Grand Opera House in Belfast, The Music of Northern Ireland is a concert special starring Irish pop tenor Eamonn McCrystal, featuring a wide array of Music that originates from Northern Ireland.  Most people don’t know that many of the hit songs we love were written by Northern Irish songwriters, like Van Morrison and Jimmy Kennedy.  Along with traditional Irish tunes, The Music of Northern Ireland pays tribute to hits like Moondance, Brown Eyed Girl – even South of the Border – all written by Northern Irish artists.  

Eamonn-McCrystal-concert.jpg The event will feature an array of internationally renowned and world famous musical talent, all originating from Northern Ireland; including artists such as Brian Kennedy, Rachel Tucker, and Keith & Kristyn Getty.  An impressive orchestra will accompany the performance led by Musical Director, Nigel Wright (producer for Andrew Lloyd Webber and Simon Cowell).

This original concert highlights hits from Northern Ireland with a unique lineup of songs.  Celebrated Northern Irish songwriters on the show include: Van Morrison, (Moondance,  Brown Eyed Girl) and Jimmy Kennedy (Red Sails in The Sunset, South of the Border) with haunting, traditional pieces like Carrickfergus and Danny Boy also included in the repertoire.

The Music From Northern Ireland show is an eclectic mixture of music and lyrics, woven together into a rich tapestry of unique Irish culture, which proves that Northern Ireland has become a nation that is proud of its past as well as welcoming its future.

About Eamonn McCrystal
Eamonn McCrystal is a renowned adult contemporary vocalist. Born in Northern Ireland, the acclaimed traditional pop artist, TV personality and radio host made his music debut at the age of nine and recorded his first album at 13. He has collaborated with major artists/producers including Walter Afanasieff, Kristin Chenoweth and Randy Travis. Eamonn is scheduled to launch his new web series "In Person" later this year on EMN, and will appear beside Whoopi Goldberg, Ashley Judd and Patrick Wilson in the movie “Big Stone Gap,”  of which he is also featured on the movie soundtrack.
