By her late 20s, Kyle Smitley was already the successful entrepreneur of a California-based organic clothing company, but she felt something was missing.

Not long after this realization, she returned to Detroit, a city that’s held a special place in her heart since childhood. Initially set on lending her professional experiences and talents to an already existing school, she ended up starting one of her own. Nowadays, she’s taking on the opportunity gap--one student at a time.
