Before we dive fully into the new year, One Detroit takes a quick look back at one of the highlights that took place in Canton River Rouge--the All-Star Turkey Giveaway. Last November, drive organizer, Tarence Wheeler, along with some of Detroit's own celebrities like Big Sean and Derrick Coleman, along with local community leaders distributed 3,500 turkeys and fixings to Detroit families. All evidence of an ongoing commitment to Detroit's neighborhoods and communities which will hopefully grow all the more in 2017.
