• DETROIT AMAZON BID: The deadline is Thursday, October 19 for cities to submit their proposals to land Amazon's new second headquarters.  The MiWeek roundtable debates Detroit's chances for winning the bid. 

• DETROIT MAYORAL RACE:  The MiWeek roundtable discusses the Detroit Mayoral election and upcoming debate. The debate - a partnership between Detroit Public Television, The Detroit News and WDIV - will be televised (WDIV) and livestreamed (dptv.org)  on October 25th at 8:00 p.m. ET. 

• MICHIGAN SECRETARY OF STATE RACE: The first Democratic candidate has emerged for next year's Michigan Secretary of State Race.  It's an office that hasn't been led by a Democrat in more than 22 years.  The MiWeek roundtable sizes up the race.
