- Flint Water Crisis - More charges are filed in the Flint Water crisis. This time it's two companies that are being blamed for "failing miserably" to properly treat the drinking water. The MiWeek team talks about this newest lawsuit filed by State Attorney General Bill Schuette and about Flint's decision to stick with the new KWA pipeline.
- Bridge Magazine Book – Bridge Magazine has published the first comprehensive book on the Flint Water crisis and how the government failed the city. Christy talks with Senior Editor David Zeman and Reporter Chastity Pratt Dawsey about the book.
- Gun Control – Various gun control proposals continue to get rejected by U.S. lawmakers, even as the nation is still stunned by the worst mass murder in recent history. The MiWeek team debates whether there will ever be a gun control measure that will receive bipartisan support.
- School Reform – Michigan's School Reform Office is trying a new tactic in its efforts to improve failing schools. The state's first ever schools CEO started work this week in the East Detroit School District. The MiWeek team discusses whether this new approach will work and if it really is any different than having an emergency manager.
