Early Math Skills
Last Updated by

Math is everywhere in the world around us. From a very early age children begin to notice counting, rhythms and patterns in their world. There are many ways you can incorporate math in your daily routines and activities with your children. Count stair steps, make patterns, demonstrate division skills as you share a bowl of snack, as children mature, involve them in tasks such as paying with cash and cooking that utilize math skills. Helping children see the many ways that math is a part of our lives makes math more concrete and understandable for children.
