Dr. Blandina Rose of Black Family Development, Inc & Promise Neighborhoods

In addition to providing family counseling services, Black Family Development works in Detroit's Clark Park and Osborn neighborhoods, supporting the federally funded Promise Neighborhood program. The vision of the program is that all children and youth growing up in Promise Neighborhoods have access to great schools and strong systems of family and community support that will prepare them to attain an excellent education and successfully transition to college and a career.
Dr. Blandina Rose, talks about the organization’s plan for the next five years and the potential to impact about 7,000 youths. Their goal is to help children in Detroit Clark Park and Osborn neighborhoods navigate from cradle to career.
