After-School Jobs Spark Academic Success

The NewsHour American Graduate team reports on a city-wide effort to keep students engaged in the classroom and on the path to graduation by providing them with meaningful real-life work experiences.
According to the Boston Private Industry Council, an organization that helps facilitiate employment opportunities for teenagers, the push has helped reduce the dropout rate by 11 percent in the last five years.
