5/1/16: Wayne County Commissioner Martha Scott / Bookstock
Last Updated by
On the next American Black Journal, we'll talk with a local Black history maker -- Wayne County Commissioner Martha Scott -- about how she broke both racial and gender barriers when she became Mayor of Highland Park. And, we'll hear about her long career in public service. Plus, the metro Detroit area's largest used book and media sale is happening in May. We'll get the details on Bookstock from honorary co-chair Rochelle Riley, and we'll talk with a DPS teacher whose 4th grade students have consistently been finalists in Bookstock's annual essay contest. Also, we'll meet two young boxers who dream of becoming world champions.
