8/23/15: President Obama's 'My Brothers Keeper' / Remembering Julian Bond

Posted by Cheryl Jones on

President Obama's "My Brother's Keeper" initiative is working to knock down the barriers to success for boys and young men of color.  American Black Journal hears about the efforts in Michigan to give young blacks and Hispanics the opportunity to realize their full potential.  Plus, ABJ remembers the late civil rights icon Julian Bond with a look back at Stephen Henderson's interview with the former NAACP chairman during a Detroit visit in 2013.
