Hugs, Not Bullets / Healthy Piquette Program

Last Updated by American Black Journal Editor on

On the next American Black Journal, youth leaders in the city of Detroit urge residents to celebrate the New Year with hugs, not bullets. We'll talk about this annual collaboration with the Detroit Police Department aimed at reducing gunfire on New Year's Day and throughout 2017.  Plus, formerly homeless veterans are getting a chance to live a much healthier lifestyle. We'll get an in-studio demonstration on the foods they are learning to prepare in the Healthy Piquette program.
