Men’s Empowerment Conference in Detroit
Detroit’s Historic Little Rock Baptist Church will be the site of the first annual “Men’s Empowerment Conference in the ‘D’.” The church’s Pastor, Rev. Dr. Jim Holley, joins us to tell us more about the event, which takes place over the weekend of September 25h.
Kia Sweeney: American Graduate Champion
We meet Kia Sweeney, a DPTV American Graduate Champion, who’s helping young women transition from high school to college. Kia’s program, the “Girls Group High School and College Program” in Ann Arbor provides mentors and guidance for students in grades 7 through 12.
