6/28/15: South Carolina Church Shootings

Posted by American Black Journal Editor on

As the nation struggles with the racist-fueled nurders of nine black churchgoers in South Carolina, we'll devote our entire half-hour to a frank discussion about hate crimes, civil rights, and gun laws. Our guests represent law enforcement, the Black Church, and civil rights: Barbara McQuade, U.S. Attorney, Eastern District of Michigan; Rev. Horace Sheffield III, Pastor, New Destiny Christian Fellowship Church; and Agustin Arbulu, Commissioner, Michigan Civil Rights Commission. We also have a recent interview from one of the South Carolina victims, South Carolina State Senator Clementa Pinckney, who appeared in the PBS documentary, "The African-Americans: Many Rivers to Cross." Episode 4330.
