“Reading Works,” is aiming to improve the levels of adult literacy in the Detroit area, by setting the goal of enrolling 20,000 adults in literacy programs by 2020. Stephen talks with the group’s Director of Program Outcomes, Kristen-Barnes Holiday, and representatives from allied agencies, Amy Amador and Barbara Willis, about their goals.

The President and CEO of the Charles H Wright Museum, Juanita Moore, joins us to discuss the Ford Freedom Awards which focused on achievements of past and present technology entrepreneurs. She also goes into detail about the late engineer and inventor, Elijah McCoy and about the museum making it’s debut on The Travel Channel! There is also recognition of the 90th Anniversary of Malcom-X.
