On the next American Black Journal, a creative hub of African American cultural arts in the heart of Detroit celebrates a milestone anniversary and the appointment of jazz great Geri Allen as its artistic director. Stephen talks with Ms. Allen and the head of The Carr Center, Oliver Ragsdale, about the center's programming for students and the community. Plus, there's a citywide call to action to strengthen early childhood services in Detroit, led by two national foundations. We'll get details on this new collaboration.
