On the next American Black Journal, as the new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture welcomes huge crowds, we'll talk with a local cultural leader who attended the museum's dedication ceremony, and who has headed up major African American museums in Memphis and Detroit.  Plus, the DPS Foundation will honor Champions of Education at its signature fundraising event to benefit Detroit students.
