Detroit Public Television Launches a National Health Series, ‘Feel Grand with Jane Seymour’

DETROIT (June 5, 2014)-She can be called the master of graceful aging. Jane Seymour, Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actress, artist, author and philanthropist will host Feel Grand with Jane Seymour, a national 13-part series produced by Detroit Public Television (DPTV) in partnership with Steve Leber, CEO of Grandparents.com, The Trusted Resource for Grandparents™, and sponsored by its member organization, the American Grandparents Association (AGA), as well as by Right at Home.
Seymour will be joined on the show by national medical experts the likes of Deepak Chopra, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing; Dr. Susan Blumenthal, former U.S. Assistant Surgeon General; Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, author of Every Woman’s Guide to a Happy, Healthy Life, and many others, who will share their expertise on Baby Boomer health-related topics such as brain and heart health, the emotional toll of aging, nutrition, alternative approaches to traditional remedies, and more.
The series will be shot at DPTV’s studios in Wixom in front of a live audience from June 23, 2014 through June 27, 2014. Members of the media are invited to meet and interview Seymour during a special press opportunity on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
A multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner and recipient of the Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in 2000, Seymour has proven her talents in virtually all media, including the Broadway stage, motion pictures and television. Her love of art and color has led to her great success as a painter in watercolors and oils and as a designer.
Her past films include the James Bond movie Live and Let Die, the cult classic Somewhere in Time, and the comedy smash Wedding Crashers. Her television credits include the Emmy-Award winning
performance in Onassis: The Richest Man in the World as Maria Callas, East of Eden for which she was awarded a Golden Globe, the mini-series War and Remembrance and her Golden Globe-winning role as
“Dr. Quinn” on Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman which ran for six seasons. Additionally Seymour appeared on Dancing With The Stars.
